Protecting Sea Turtles and Their Habitats

Nestled between the Indian and Pacific Oceans, Indonesia is a biodiversity hotspot and an essential habitat for sea turtles.

Of the seven sea turtle species found worldwide, six inhabit Indonesian waters, and five regularly nest on our shores. Their survival is crucial for maintaining the delicate balance of marine ecosystems.

Yayasan Penyu Indonesia – YPI is dedicated to safeguarding sea turtles and their habitats. Our mission extends beyond conservation—we also work to address the threats they face while fostering sustainable community empowerment.
